Due to the intelligent and high-rise buildings and the rapid climate change, the damage caused by lightning strikes is increasing, leading to growing property and human casualties as well as secondary damages.
To minimize the damage caused by lightning strikes, we establish a lightning protection system based on the Rolling Sphere Method (RSM), ESE theory, and A-W theory, by applying the Faraday Law and an electrical geometric model. To maximize the effectiveness of grounding against abnormal currents and voltages, including grounding fault currents, we establish a single-point grounding system based on safety voltage standards, expanding the self-region of grounding impedance and equalizing the potential distribution.
Through a study of the skin characteristics of soil specific resistivity, we developed moisture content measurement and corrosion prevention grounding reduction techniques. Additionally, our Surge Protection Device Monitoring (SPD-M), developed based on lightning current measurement technology, has been recognized for its technological excellence, having obtained NET (New Excellent Technology) certification and being designated as an excellent product by the Public Procurement Service.
